Alert on Uplink interfaces only while monitoring all other ports on the device

Hello Everyone,

I have been asked to monitor all the ports on the device but only do alerts on the up-link interfaces. I haven't been using Solarwinds very long so I am trying to work through the process. The alert for the up-link should cover packet loss, high utilization and if the link goes down. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Totally not sure if this'll work but perhaps an alert like this?

This particular one will fire on a specific node, although you could totally do it on a bunch of nodes if you wanted. but theoretically it fires when that node's interface goes down AND the interface's descrip is UPLINK. This is just an idea,

so i haven't tested it or anything, but hopefully that gets you started down the right road
