Accounting

Question

I'm not sure if I am in the correct section or not.  However, my question is this:

Can Cirrus (SolarWinds) pull any accounting information from the TACACS+ (ACS) server displaying who logged into a router or switch.  My boss is asking for this particular funtionality.  If SolarWinds can pull this type of report, that would be awsome.

cool.  thanks.  i will give a try.  need to see how well the reporting is.  since it would be for management, they like pretty.  i am trying to do as little maintenance as possible (don't want to have to create a spreadsheet or some other type of report every week).

Although Cirrus base functionality may not be ideal, you could use the Syslog/SNMP Trap server functionality included with both Orion and Cirrus ( added in v5 ).

You would need to configure your device to generate the Event/Trap for logins and point it at the server. The server would catch that and be able to alert/report on those events/traps.
