import Custom Properties from Orion to Cirrus?

Question

I have a situation in which my Orion database has more than 1000 routers/switches in it. I am using Cirrus v4 and would like to import from Orion into Cirrus. I noticed that the Import wizard apparently will only let me import the IP Address and the Community string. The other columns that display from the Orion database have the word <ignore> over them and cannot be selected for import.

Is there any way to import the custom properties that I have spent so much time configuring in Orion, so that they maintain the same association in Cirrus, or am I forced to construct custom properties all over again in Cirrus?

Or, could I possibly import the custom properties by using another import source otherthan the Orion database?

Any ideas?

We might be using the "state" field for Cirrus' own internal state machine, so you may have to create a _State or something to that effect to get past this.   Let me know if this works for you..

Thanks for the help. I was able to add properties for City and Country via the Cirrus Settings menu, but when I tried to add one for State, an error told me that it already existed.

So, when I performed the import, there was still no opportunity to import a custom property for State. Why did the process work for City and Country, but not for State?

The drop-down list is a list of Cirrus properties defined.  So, the missing step is to create a custom property in Cirrus to map the Orion custom property.  File > Settings > Custom Properties.
