Report Writer grouping question

Question

So I have modified a report to add 2 fields yet when I group on those fields the data for those fields does not display in the report... the data is there in design view but not in preview or off the web. If I dont group then the data shows... any ideas on how to group AND show the data in the report?

I am pretty sure this is a bug.  I opened a support ticket for a very similar problem and after weeks of waiting I was told it was a bug.  I am also pretty sure I have seen others reporting similar report grouping problems where it looks fine in the editor but then is wrong in the web display.
