A Bug? - Total data transfered is waaaaay below the actual amount!

Question

Yesterday I had to move some data between servers, 5TB to be precise, however, NPM shows the total data transfered for this server to be a measly 90-95GB!!

The average receive Mbps from 15:00 - 23:59 yesterday is 771.8781 Mbps, which would equate to 3049.37GB transfered in that time frame to that one server.

Is this an issue that SolarWinds are aware of?

Also, whilst I remember it, the date/time pop-up on the 'un-manage this node' page is incorrect for this month, it shows the 30th being on Monday instead of Sunday, however, the 1st of December shows as being on the same Monday (which is correct!)

Yes, it's definitely enabled on the Node.  I'm pretty sure you don't even get the option per interface, just node by node...

Just to check, the 64bit counter tick box is set for the entire device, rather than for each interface (Edit Node Properties) - is this where you enabled 64bit counter support?

The Polling Details section of the Node Details screen enables you to check if 64bit counters are enabled for the device (as per the Interface details section on the Interface screen).

Thanks very much for the info Dave, I am using HP Procurve switches and the interfaces I am monitoring (in this specific case) are Windows 2003 R2 1GB (Intel and/or Broadcom) NIC's.  I have enabled 64-bit counters for the relevant interfaces and have initiated the 2nd part of the data transfer, another 4TB, so I'll report back if this fixed my charts...
