What devices are connected to a node
rstier
Hi,
Is there anyway to view what devices are connected to a node in Orion? For example, I monitor all my switch interfaces but would like to know what is coonected to them.
HP NNM had this feature and it was called neighbor view:
___________________________
Neighbor View-Within your web browser, you can view a graphical representation of a selected device and its connector devices, within a specified number of hops of the selected device. Connector devices could be routers, switches, or bridges.

Thanks,

No, this is not currently possible in Orion but I have seen it requested several times.
The best you can do now is draw it yourself using Map Maker.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

What type of switches are you using?
You could get the MAC address connected to each port and do a lookup that way.
rstier
Primarily Cisco but a few HP and 3COM.

Do you know what the OIDs are for the switch's MAC address table?
rstier
Not off hand, I would need to walk the MIB.
