network utilization above 100%?

Question

Anyone know how/why some NICs are reporting utilization above 100%? This is a netapp box, equallogic, windows server, foundry/brocade switch, etc.

I've tried enabling 64 bit counters on some, but it doesn't seem to have done anything. is there a refresh or something else that has to happen?

Usually this is due to an incorrect (Bandwidth) setting on the device, causing it to report a slower speed than it's actually configured for (ie: you set the bandwidth statement to 1Mbps on a 4Mbps line).

HOWEVER, the image above isn't showing that kind of problem (I don't think). So maybe it's not the case. But check anyway.

thanks for the idea. however this was not it. it says it's 1Gb and it's running at 1.03 Gb. others are even higher.
