Availability reports not generating correct node availability.

Question

I have created an availaibitly report in the Orion Report Writer. I have 3 devices last month that had reboots, some with multiple reboots. The Availaibity report shows 100%. These are AS400 boxes, some were ok but 3 in particular were not accurate. Below are the field that I have for the reporting.

Field: Node ID sort * function: *

Field: Node NAME sort * function: *

Field: IP Address sort * function: *

Field: Availablilty sort * function: AVERAGE

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think in the case of your AS400 SNMP daemon the uptime value may not be reported, so if the reboot occurs in a span shorter than your configured polling interval Orion may fail to detect that the node went offline and came back up before polling occurred.
