Source entity [Orion.Alerts] not found in catalog

I've been looking at the schema:

Orion.Alerts

but the query:

SELECT Description FROM Orion.Alerts WHERE AlertID = {alertObjectId}

fails with:

"Source entity [Orion.Alerts] not found in catalog"

Is this normal? I can query from Orion.AlertObjects but not Orion.Alerts

I'd say it's normal. I don't have orion.alerts either.

Looking at the page you refer to, it's for 2020.2 version and "Alerts created in Basic Alert Manager". Basic alert manager was removed many years ago.

What is it you want to see? There is probably another place to find it. If you use SWQL Studio you can browse your schema.

thanks but it's the only schema available in the sdk docs. I provided a link to the docs but this forum deleted the reply as it had a link to the sdk in it and it said it was spam

Hmm, I see I have Orion.alerts in ver 2023.1 but not in 2023.3. So it's probably removed in later versions.

Agreed and it is the same in HCO 2023.3.0 - it also does not have Orion.Alerts.

But (non HCO) 2023.2.1 does.

Kindly use the SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to view the table name and its values in GUI before you run any query. This will make your job bit easier.

turns out the swagger schema seems to be current. The schema from the sdk seems to not be current.

actually it has Orion.Alerts so there doesn't seem to be documentation for the schema.
