Hi All,
We have recently onboarded some iDrac IPs in SolarWinds using SNMP polling method but started receiving false node reboot alerts on the same. when I checked reboot logs in solarwinds it is showing for every 6 hours.
FYI: I know that some devices state the time for the snmp-daemon restart as the time for the device restart. Might help in your troubleshooting.
@Seashore thanks, will check the same.
We have the same problem with vxrail nodes especially. This is related with the background process of password reset for vxrail components that happens every 6h. But we have also confirmed with DELL that starting from iDRAC version 6.10.30.20 DELL changed the OID responsible for uptime to 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5 from 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3. Unfortunately SolarWinds checks the old OID and we are not able to change it. The only way is to create a UNDP pooler and custom alert.
Hello, Thank you for posting this. Can you confirm the correct OID again for uptime? I am having this exact same issue with my VXRail's but using Zabbix. I tried 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5 but not getting the return I expected.
