Department Profiles

Hi,

we would like to work with department profiles. Is there a chance to have one user assigned to more then one department profile?

Because our house is a project house, so many users are working in more then one project. The project roll on and roll off would be so much easier if we could use the department profiles.

Does anyone of you work with these? And how are your experiences?

Hi Tante Jana,

you can apply multiple profiles one after another and just add the new group memberships for example to create a "stacked" account but an account can only have one active profile at a time. So what I understand you want to do (having multiple active profiles) is currently not possible.

Hi tante jana,

it is certainly not the first time i have heard this idea but it doesnt come up that often. You can see what Solarwinds is working on in the "What we are working on" thread here on Thwack. I would also recommend to check if there is already a feature request for that and if so upvote it.

If there isnt one already you can also create one yourself.
