Unclear about HCO and SWO with AI Ops Anomaly detection License

Question

With our HCO license, we have a feature called Anomaly-Based Alerts. This requires the use of Platform Connect to attach the on-prem HCO instance and send data to SWO to use the AI OPS features.

Does this functionality require us to purchase another SWO license?

Making the onboarding more seamless would be helpful, we are getting messages that all the data in SWO will be deleted since the trial license is expired. Having a login with visibility into what is being ingested into the cloud for AI Ops would also make our security folks happy.

The only licence you need to use anomaly-based alerts is HCO Advanced. The anomaly detection (AD) happens in the cloud, and to segment the data we require a SWO tenant to co-host the AD. Once you create the ingestion token from SWO, you no longer need to login... It will continue to work even if your SWO login expires. We are looking at ways to make the onboarding more seemless.

Right now we are using the cloud to delver this AIOps functionality. There are many reasons we do this, but a key reason is the optimisation of the model. We can upgrade/change model, without requiring a HCO upgrade. For example we were able to change the model from daily to weekly seasonality overnight, because it is cloud-based.

To deliver this functionality on-prem, hardware costs would be significant.
