schedule job for third weekday of the month

Hello,

I'm hoping to schedule a job to run on the third Wednesday of each month. We don't want it on a certain date because we don't want it run on a weekend. I can't see a way to do this under Basic schedule and the advanced schedule doesn't take the Cron syntax for it, 00 01 * * 4#3.

Am I missing something, or is this just not an option at all?

Hello! Are you trying to schedule an NCM Job or a Network Discovery job?

If you're attempting to run an NCM job, one solution would be to write a PowerShell/Python script using the ExecuteScript verb on the Cirrus.ConfigArchive entity, and run it via the Task Scheduler on Windows using the "Monthly" frequency:

If you're wanting to schedule a Network Discovery Job, you can find example scripts of importing SNMP nodes HERE.

I haven't used the API for NCM Jobs personally, but I do have an example of a script that we use to run a Network Discovery Job on a set schedule.

Just let me know if you'd be interested in seeing that. I'll have to scrub it for any sensitive information pertaining to my environment.

The Cron syntax you mentioned (00 01 * * 4#3) represents the third Wednesday of each month. If the software spotify you're using doesn't support this kind of complex schedule directly, you might need to explore other scheduling solutions or consider using a combination of basic schedules to approximate the desired behavior.
