Aruba Clearpass Backup

Hi guys,

I need help to take backup of Aruba clearpass using the following commands:

show version
show ip
show license
show fipsmode
show hostname
show domain
show timezone

I have tried to create customized script to under 'CLI Device Template' not it did not work.

Please help

I strongly recommend filling a ticket to sw support. Support could help you build device template. They'll be asking you couples of CLI questionnaires to ease the building of device template.

NCM folks in sw are one bests ;-)

You may try the "UseMultipleDownloadCommands" in NCM device template.

UseMultipleDownloadCommands

By default, for direct transfers, NCM captures the output from only the first command in the DownloadConfig value. If you need to capture the output from other commands to download a config from a device, set UseMultipleDownloadCommands to True:

For example:

You can also use UseMultipleDownloadCommands with a Cisco ASA device to download both the running and startup configs from the same context with only one device template. To do this:

Create a custom config type for each type of config in each context (for example, Context1Running and Context1Startup).
In your device template, include commands to switch into each context and download the config for each config type you created.
In the DownloadConfig command:
- Enter ${ConfigType} as the Value.
- Specify the command prompt symbol as the RegEx attribute (for example, #, >, or ]).

For example:

I logged case with Solarwinds TAC but they will not support.Its out of there scope.

There are 2 lines of NOTE

Using this you should be able to add your multiple show commands

Use ${CRLF} to separate your show commands

I have found the double ${CRLF}${CRLF} to give a "cleaner" looking report
