Alert on hard disk usage

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a hard disk usage alert, but I can't find the condition to do it. I need to monitor the usage percentage of a specific hard drive, I've seen a lot of questions about space used but for me it's about usage (read/write).

If anyone knows how to do this?

Besides available space, you can alert on any metric that is polled for that volume. For Example, you can trigger alerts on IOPS, Avg. Disk sec/Transfer, Disk Queue Length, reads per sec, writes per sec.

Create a new alert on Volume. There you will have several metrics to use. Note that by default these statistics are collected only every 15 minutes. Determining an alert threshold will be fun as well. Maybe watch in Perfstack to get an idea of value fluctuations.

I use custom properties that owners set on their nodes and then we alert based on that value. Below is a basic example. Our base windows image is 120GB C drive, so that's why we have this specific alert, but we have many different custom properties values the users can pick from.

Ok, but you speak about the storage. I need to monitor the read/write usage to see if my hard disk is busy and monitor also the file wait. I don't know if you understand what i'm trying to say.
