What are the steps to check if my current platform has the capability to use the SolarWinds Virtual Infrastructure Monitor (VIM) ?

Because based on this article: Monitor virtual infrastructure (solarwinds.com) I can see that I do not require to use VMAN module to monitor the VMware ESXi servers.

Add a vsphere, usually.

You can add an esx in the 'virtualization polling' creds section, or something named similar to that
