cisco firepower firewall monitoring in solarwinds NPM

Hi Folks,

We need to monitor cisco firepower firewall in solarwinds npm . We require to get node details, active vpn sessions, High availability state and other details in our device summary page.

Also we need to create an alert on HA as we are having two firepower devices in HA of active and stand by state so when the failover happens we want to be notified through alerts.

We have enabled snmp and cli polling for them then also we are enable to achieve the data except the cpu,memory and status of the firewall devices.

Can someone assist on same how we can achieve that currently we using 2023.2.1. version of orion platform.

Hi Samiksha,

Through CLI polling and SNMP they should be able to report back to you as our firepowers do work with Solarwinds and are reporting their different statistics, although wrong (must be a mib mismatch or other sort of poller.)

For the HA status, they should be able to tell their state in the view / Platform view, as to see the standby node on the widget on the primary node, I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

There is an OOTB alert for HA Availability - just duplicate and adjust to suit your environment.
