Can an Orion Sever be directly connected to two different subnets? and also be configured for HA?

Hi,

I have a situation where I want to use Orion to monitor two different networks and the thought I had was to configure the Windows Server where the Orion server is installed to have a NIC in each of these networks. One of the networks is purely a 10.0.0.0/16 network and the other is a mix of 172.16.0.0/12 and 192.168.0.0/16. This latter network will also have the default gateway and access to the Internet.

Now I believe this will work but here's the difficult part, Can I setup an HA Pair with both servers connected to the two different networks? If so how do I setup a VIP for both networks?

If this setup isn't possible can you please advise on what is the best thing to do?

Yes these networks are routable within themselves but not between them. So the Orion Server will have a NIC in both networks. Is this OK and what problems would it give HA?

Are these networks routable?  I personally avoid multiple NIC's on servers to reduce complexity.  If at all possible I would use Additional Polling Engines for the different networks.
