When I try to apply the template to two domain contollers (One is a Windows 2022 Server, the other is a Windows 2016 Server), it validates the credentials and then throws this error:
The active directory domain controller instance on this node is currently being monitored by Active Directory Domain Controler application
(That wasn't a typo "Controller" is misspelled in the error)
There are no other active directory related templates assigned to those nodes. The credentials test fine. I've tried both the secure port and the unsecure port (for testing purposes only), neither work.
I am, however, using a custom template to monitor and alert on account lockout events, but I have those applied to all the domain controllers we are monitoring. This template (and my custom template) is applied to 19 domain controllers without issue (we monitor multiple customer AD environments). Though we have had those applied for years through many SW upgrades.
We are running SAM version 2023.2.0
Has anyone seen this before and know a fix?
It looks like there's a hotfix I can apply, but the release notes show a fix for alerts, but we can't even apply the template.
Guess I'll apply the hotfix, but in the meantime, has anyone seen this before?
