Monitoring a website behind a WAF

We have a website which is protected behind a WAF. This website has a SSL certificate which I want to monitor using default "SSL Certificate Expiration Date".

The problem is when I monitor this website (added as external node) it gives me back the expiration date of the WAF's certificate, not the actual site's SSL certificate.

How can I monitor the site's certificate?

If you can poll the IP of the actual web server(s) or have access to the OS then you can monitor it. If you don't have access, then obviously they are on their own until you can get it.
