Looking for ideas to monitor a DNS Alias that is used to swing traffic from one IP to another during a failover scenario without having to RDP into a poller to flush a DNS cache. We had a scenario recently where we did a planned DR exercise and moved traffic to a secondary Datacentre. During the failover the Alias was pointed to the new IP (part of the process), however Orion never updated to reflect the change.
Any thoughts?
