How on earth do I add alerts for bandwidth monitor utilization for a Cisco router/switch?

So have installed trial version of solarwinds NPM on a windows server, cannot figure out how to set threshold value for bandwidth and then send email alerts for a specific interface for a Cisco device.

I see the alert section where you can configure alerts but cannot figure out for the life of me on what to do for bandwidth and set a specific threshold and alert on that.

Please help!

I think there is an out of the box alert you can copy for this but here is an example:

You can take a look at what is possible and the out of the box alerts on the demo (https://hco.demo.solarwinds.com/Orion/Alerts/Default.aspx).

Cisco should work fine as long as your network engineers are populating the 'bandwidth' setting on the interfaces to match your provisioned speed. If you see anything off (like % not lining up, check the interfaces config/or SW interface bandwidth setting first). SD-WAN interfaces have had to be manually populated for my clients.

Ok that part is done, now how do I make it so that I get an email alert for this alert that I created? I have already set up smtp configuration under smtp by the way.

Ok I figured it out, had to do it under trigger action, now how do I test it lol?
