Device Interface in Critical State

Question

Hi All

I have a couple network devices with interface states of critical but can't find what is causing exactly. These interfaces will at different times of the day, mostly overnight, have high bandwidth utilization but those alerts look to reset accordingly. The only thing I can think of is discards, which some of these interfaces are firewall interfaces which would make sense for any traffic being blocked.

If anyone can point me the direction of the alert that could be getting triggered by the discards that would be great.

This is still a concern. Even if I change the setting to show best status for a device the interface still show as critical due to discards. Most of the discards as they are on our firewalls and a couple devices with ACLs in place. I have tried to adjust the Discard threshold but it still shows critical. IS there a way to adjust the discard status based on device. Say firewalls will have more discards then a layer 3 switch. So can I adjust based on type or use of device?
