Hello Thwack forum!
I've given up trying to get help with this issue from SolarWinds support.
I've worked in this new job for 6 months now and honestly SolarWinds is up there with the most useless tech supports I've had to deal with in my career.
And I can see by searching this forum and others, that I'm not the only one that feels this way.
Anyway, I'm hoping someone on here actually has some real life experience of SolarWinds and are not just reading from a script or sending me irrelevant articles online (also passing me around their team and every time being asked for the same info such as software versions and logs is very frustrating)...
SolarWinds Platform, SAM, NPM: 2023.2.0
We are getting regular “Virtual Machine in Critical state” alerts from 2 particular Hyper-V guests.
For one of the servers, here are screenshots of the current memory utilisation from SolarWinds and from the server itself, at the time of creating this post...

Does anyone how to resolve this “MEMORY USAGE OF THIS GUEST exceeding 100%” issue?
Also, why the alert we get for it only says “Virtual Machine in Critical state”,
why doesn’t it tell us that it’s the memory threshold that has exceeded?

Fingers crossed there is someone out there that knows the answer.
The only solution I've found so far is to unmanage these two Hyper-V guests.
Thanks :-)
