Switch neighbor discovery for map

Hi All.

I have an (IBM) switch with several ports. We poll the switch with SNMP so I have visibility to the interfaces.

I would like to discover the host(s) on the other side of each switch port. All of the hosts connected to the switch are monitored by Solarwinds. However, I don't know exactly which host connects to which port (I don't have physical access to the switch so I can't trace wires).

Does Solarwinds have the ability to discover what host connects to each switch port? The goal will be to create a map with switch and host connectivity status.

Thank you! I reviewed the documentation for UDT and it looks like that module will meet our requirements.

At the present time my company does not own UDT. Gotta put in a requisition..

Are on the SolarWinds (Orion) platform with module licensing (NCM, NPM, etc) or are in the new world of HCO/Hybrid Cloud licensing. Depending on the tier, you get NPM, UDT, etc. This is one of the few times I will recommend looking at the new licensing variations now.
