removeServerHeader Error in arm web.config

Hi,

after update to the latest version i can´t access the arm webclient anymore, it gives an internal server error 500. When looking on the armserver itself it shows an error in the web.config xml, "unknown attribute" "removeServerHeader". Any suggestions what this is about and how to fix? Thx in advance.

in the screenshot chrome, but behaviour is the same with ff or edge.

Looks like the web config still contains the deprecated value "Protected Networks" as outlined in this support article, https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Access-to-Web?language=en_US. Take a look at the resolution within the support article to see if it helps.

Checked the article, but this does not fix my problem. Arm can read the configfile in the directory, but it seems that my IIS version is not supporting the removeServerHeader attribute. Looks like i have to update my IIS to a higher version.Thx either way for the reply.

Did you manage to fix it by updating your IIS? Im on WinServer 2012 + ISS 8.5 and finding this issue too

Unfortunately it´s not possible to update the iis on 2012 to a higher version, so the only solution is to update the serverversion to at least 2016. As we are in the process migrating to srv 2022 it will be fixed after the migration is done.
