Starting on a new install, how do you switch nodes over easily?

Hello! We are moving from a non HCO install to an HCO one. I would like to know what you guys would do to migrate nodes from the old to the new install? Should I just delete nodes in the old? Would that uninstall any currently installed agents?

Hello @chris_moyzan It's better to upgrade your current Orion deployment to HCO then to go on a fresh install

No, we will start fresh as there were some weirdness going on with the current install...

If you're not going to directly upgrade or do a migration, you will need to redeploy/reconnect them to the new server address. You should be able to simply follow this step (screenshotted from the migration guide https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/migrate_solarwinds_to_a_new_server_with_a_new_ip_and_hostname.htm)

You will still need to manage them as nodes after the agents reconnect, if you didn't migrate your database

It really depends on what you want to do, you can do an in place upgrade to HCO and not have to worry about migrating everything (it's even easy to test this out by enabling the HCO trial in your License Manager area!), but if you're getting new hardware and are set on migrating it to a new instance, I'd recommend migrating your database over, spinning up the new instance, and then reconnecting the agents much like @ChrystalT already dropped in.
