Currently latest version is 2023.2.1
is this version is stable?
You will need to upgrade no matter what (you probably have around 11 months from now which is the max time that you can hold off your upgrade, but then as new versions are released you are always behind the upgrades plus more vulnerable hence plan your upgrades accordingly) as 2020.2.6 EOL Announcement was on 18 April 2023 and EOE was on 18 May 2023 plus EOL is set to 18 May 2024.

Watch out for details on the links mentioned, this will help you decide on your upgrades.
Hope this helps.

If I where to recommend which version to upgrade to, looking back one year, I would actually go to just that one - 2023.2.1.
No version is perfect but this one seems pretty good. And as @vinay.by say, you need to upgrade very soon to be on a supported version.
Thanks
THANKS
We're in a similar boat. We are on 2020.2.5. We skipped all the 2022.x versions. We were set to upgrade to 2022.x in February but we found out those version had a bug with Netpath which is heavily used by my Ops team. The 2023.x versions were still in RC so we held off. We hit change freezes in the meantime. We're at the point we need to upgrade in July before we hit another freeze period so I have to upgrade. We're going to 2023.2.1 Our QA upgrade was smooth as ice They have made so many improvements in the Orion packages and deployment process. My customer success manager emailed me last week and told me there is a bug in the job engine. She was advising I wait for the next release. There is a workaround we are going to apply and we are moving ahead with the upgrade. Just check in the release notes for 2023.2.1 I'm keeping my fingers crossed we don't have any issues. I do believe the subsequent upgrades will be much smoother with the way they package Solarwinds into a single installer now. I'll post our upgrade experience in Thwack. The product has come along way though. I've been administering Solarwinds for about 7 years and 2020.2.5 is a 8/10 in stability while the 12.x versions I would probably give a 5/10. Here are the release notes BTW - documentation.solarwinds.com/.../solarwinds_platform_2023-2-1_release_notes.htm
