Does SolarWinds outgoing SMTP support TLS? It only lists SSL. I am using a Windows 2019 SMTP server as a relay and I can send emails without encryption. When I enable TLS (SSL is not an option) on the SMTP server, I am unable to send emails (Test Failed!). Packet capture shows that TLS 1.2 handshake takes place and all is good.
1. Is this an SSL/TLS difference problem? I know where is a difference at the same time lots of programs will support both. SolarWinds shows only SSL and Server 2019 SMTP shows only TLS.
2. Could the problem be TLS 1.2 is not support by SolarWinds and it is only TLS 1.0 and 1.1? I have both disabled through the registry on the 2019 Server (Per InfoSec). I am seeing a successful TLS 1.2 handshake in the packet captures.
I do have a good Cert loaded into the Windows IIS and the SMTP server is picking that up. I am running Orion Version. 2023.2
