HCO "Status only nodes" are still counting against Node Licenses in HCO 2023.2? Did the upgrade and did a quick check and they are still counting as nodes even though they shouldn't according to the release notes. Is this happening to anyon

Just checked and my ICMP nodes without additional polling are still counting against my license. Deleted them all and re-imported and they still count.

Anyone else having this issue?

Status only nodes

Up/Down status monitoring for ICMP nodes and external nodes no longer consumes a node from your Hybrid Cloud Observability license when no additional monitoring has been assigned to them. A Node License Summary report which shows the number of ICMP/External nodes without external monitoring assigned is now available.

Can you post a screenshot of the Node License Summary report in 2023.2?

i have the same issue. I still have a total of 25 counting against my license when it should be 24

Go ahead an open a ticket.

To qualify as status only in HCO, the node has to be exclusively ICMP polling - any additional polling (SAM template, API template, Hypervisor Host, etc) promotes it to a licensed node.

The FreeICMP SWQL query has been optimized to prevent it from timing out in certain environments. The query now runs successfully and returns the correct number of licensed nodes.
