How to add a standalone ESX node (without VMAN)

Hi,

We are trying to add standalone ESX nodes using Powershell (no VMAN).

We are able to add them as ICMP nodes, but we need to check Poll for VMWare (and then specify the credentials).

We couldn't find anything about this specific option in the SDK docs or this forum.

If we do it manually, we first add the node as an ICMP host. Then we check 'Poll for VMware' and select the credentials.

Does anyone know how to do it? (even in other languages)

I believe that function provides data to VMan. You will want to configure SNMP and add the host that way. 

If you have SAM, you can add templates to pull in more data, there are some items below that might help. And of course, SAM allows you to script monitors as well, but you would have to build your own.
