Looking for a SWQL query to match IPAM nodes with NPM nodes

In the SWQL studio, I do not see any navigational property in the Orion.Nodes table that links to the IPAM.Nodes table. Does that mean I am unable to join those two tables. My ultimate goal is to derive a list of used IPAM addresses that are ALSO being monitored as NPM nodes. Is this possible?

Also, what is the difference between an "IP Node" and an "IP Group Node" in IPAM? Thanks.

You will have to do a join and match it on caption or ip addresss. You can do a join with any table not limited to the built in links. iPam is still a separate module but you can still do a load of interesting stuff with it.

This is a query that we use to identify Nodes that are monitored that are not in IPAM

SELECT -- IPAM addresses
Nodes.Caption
, Nodes.Status
, Nodes.IP  
, Nodes.ChildStatus
     FROM Orion.Nodes AS [Nodes]
     LEFT JOIN IPAM.IPNodeReport AS [IP]
          ON [Nodes].IP = [IP].IPAddress
WHERE
IP.IPStatus is Null
AND Nodes.Status = 1

Thanks stevenstadel, but I need a list of IPs that are monitored nodes in NPM AND listed as used IPs addresses in IPAM. How would your query change in that case?

Or, using your query, would a query based on the MAC address being populated work too:

SELECT -- IPAM addresses Nodes.Caption , Nodes.Status , Nodes.IP , Nodes.ChildStatus FROM Orion.Nodes AS [Nodes] LEFT JOIN IPAM.IPNodeReport AS [IP] ON [Nodes].IP = [IP].IPAddress WHERE IP.MAC is not NULL AND Nodes.Status = 1
