Is there any way to pull vcenter creds into a SAM monitor?

Hi All,

I'd really like to assign a component monitor to vsphere with creds pulled like with ${CREDENTIAL}. I dont think this works for vsphere as it'll try and pull ICMP "creds" or SNMP or something else that doesnt work.

Any idea if there's an equivalent macro? ${VCREDS}

I assume you are pulling it into a powershell monitor? If so, I think you need to put the into the other credential store to be seen. For stuff like this, we actually use code in the script to pull it straight out of our credential vault as it runs.

Yes, and yeah i'd started on a similar track - Annoying though, twice as many cred stores to maintain!

Do you have any examples to share of how you get the credentials from the vault? We are starting to go down this path to increase volumes automatically when alerts are triggered.
