We're pretty new to the platform and we're in the process of migrating everything from our previous monitoring solution but as expected there are quite a lot of growing pains.
We currently have 233 nodes imported into Solarwinds HCO Enterprise(2023.1) so we tried to import all volumes since it's not something that's imported by default.
We did so by doing the following:
Settings > All Settings > Manage Agents > Ticked all 233 nodes > Choose Resources
Result? Only the nodes directly assigned to the Main Polling Engine returned any results
Alright, that was a bit odd but what if we choose only 1 agent/node of one of the APEs and then click on "Choose Resources"? Works great, the node/agent is polled by it's APE and we have resources to import.
Ok now what if we select 2 agents/nodes that are behind the same APE? This time the Network Discovery Wizard pops up and finishes seconds later because it didnt identify anything.
Based on these 3 experiments I can only conclude that selecting more than 1 agent automatically uses the Main Polling Engine. I expected that each resource would have been checked by the poller it's assigned to.
Is this the expected behavior? If so, how can we go about mass-importing volumes across all APEs? I really hope I don't have to go through all resources one by one.
