Network Atlas and Orion maps show different connections

Need help explaining some interesting behavior with Network Atlas and Orion maps in HCO 2023.1.

I have a number of Juniper devices that are all interconnected, but neither Network Atlas nor Orion maps show anywhere near all of the existing links. However, Atlas shows significantly more connections than does Orion maps.

The following is true:

1. All devices have Layer 2 and 3 being monitored.

2. all connected interfaces are being monitored.

Anyone have any idea why the connections are so spotty and inconsistent?

Fine, but that would not explain why Atlas maps show more connections than Orion maps.

Sorry do you mean show more connections on the map as in it only shows 1 line instead of say 4 lines even though when you click it shows 4 on the right.

No, I mean connections between devices. Later 2 and/or 3 Topology data is supposed to provide that information.

I don't have an answer, per se, for you but what we do in Atlas is to manually create each link and assign the relevant interfaces to each end. As I understand OM's capabilities at the moment (i.e. very poor vs Atlas) then this is not something you can yet do.

Why the "auto-mapping" is not showing all the links, I don't know.

In NA, if you look at the link properties, are they all visible in there? If you then click on that same link in OM do all the interfaces appear on the right? If ye to both, then the differences may just come down to a display limitation of some form... and maybe opening a ticket will get you an answer.
