Alert on Juniper Routing Engine Master change.

We are trying to alert on a change of the master routing engine in our Juniper routers.  We have the following trigger conditions defined, and we know we currently have one Juniper where routing engine 0 is not the master.  However the alert does not trigger on that node.  Anyone help determine why it does not trigger?

@syoung The first thing I'd do, is verify your results are as expected. You can start by clicking the little down arrow to the far right side/corner of the first row of the trigger condition. This will give you the option to generate a SWQL query for the condition as built, and should give you a starting point.

You can either copy/paste that SWQL query into the Orion SDK, or you can try to access a couple places within the web GUI (/orion/Admin/swis.aspx), depending on how your environment is setup.

Additionally, if what you are looking for only exists on your Juniper devices, you can probably adjust the scope of the alert to only look at those devices. This is not required, but is generally a good practice to follow when possible. Over time, you can save yourself, and your servers, a tiny bit of hassle if you have things focused onto only what they need to be.

Let us know what results you see, and if you have time, let us know how your custom poller is configured. It could be as simple as a typo, or just a little bit of rearranging.
