Giving admin roll in SAM via API/SWQL

Is it possible to grant the Admin role for SAM via SWQL or API? I "think" I found the table in the raw DB but would prefer not to have to open more ports in the firewalls to access the DB directly (as well as incurr the associated risk).

I have found that the "Orion.UserSettings" table appears to have a bunch of setting but not role or access to some of the maint tools (Services, Processes, Events).

Any links or suggestions are welcome.

I manage (create/update/delete) accounts with entity Orion.Accounts : https://solarwinds.github.io/OrionSDK/2020.2/schema/Orion.Accounts.html using SDK.

If you want to use API, as the account has Uri column, you can use https://solarwinds.github.io/OrionSDK/swagger-ui/#/CRUD/Update or https://solarwinds.github.io/OrionSDK/swagger-ui/#/CRUD/BulkUpdate

I can, and do, create Orion accounts, including admin accounts via the SDK. What I don't see is a way to annotate/update a new Orion account to have SAM "admin" rights. Simply setting the new account to be an admin does not give it admin access to all modules and I don't see SWQL access to the SAM table which manages permissions.

I am hoping that I am just missing something.

Yep i did not find it ; i found ncm admin in Orion.UserSettings but not sam admin

The table you mentioned is [dbo].[APM_WebUserPermissions] right ?

I have looked in numerous SWQL locations and not found anything. The only place I have found what looks like the setting is in the SQL db itself. I was hoping NOT to have to touch that directly.
