I have two polling engines and the Solarwinds console page loading too slow and all the operations like add node and alerts are also too slow.
You should look at CPU/Memory on your Primary server, if its high see what processes are high and move into it from there. Also make use of your APE's when you look at the Polling Engines Page in the webconsole try to get as many elements onto the APEs and off the Primary as you can, don't go over 12000 elements/8000 SAM components on any Engine though. If thats still slow then start using Hubble etc to see if you can narrow it down. support.solarwinds.com/.../Other-Time-is-High
Check to make sure DB maintenance is running too. That will slow things down. Network latency can be another cause. Netpath can be used to help find determine latency root cause.
What is the current count of syslogs and traps in your SolarWinds deployment ? I have seen performance issues when syslogs/traps are flooding in. Check if there is a sudden spike, this could as well be one of the reasons.
Try restarting your primary poller or additional web servers (if any) and check if this helps your situation. Dont be happy just yet, if its a temporary issue and if your IIS is eating up a lot of memory the issue will be immediately fixed, but then monitor it for a week or so, this issue shouldn't re-appear (rebooting is not a solution here, I am just trying to make sure your IIS is intact, sometimes after patching if a clean reboot hasn't been done such issues appear).
