Trying to upgrade 2023.1. The upgrade FAILS and pops this " Source file not found: C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\InstallerObservability-2023.1.0.196-OrionInstaller1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."
What do I need to do??
1. Check if that file is there under C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Installer
2. If its not there call support and get this file from them and place it on C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Installer
3. Re-run the upgrade.
Seems like either packaging issue, another way to do this is to download the bits again and give it a shot, I am assuming you are not doing an online upgrade, if your SolarWinds servers are exposed to internet and if you are doing an online upgrade you shouldn't see such issues.
Are you doing an offline upgrade ?
If the file is there and the permissions to get to it are fine, call support.
I checked and the file is not there. Don't know how the file disappeared from C:
And yes, I'm doing an Online Upgrade
Please make sure you are using latest version of online installer (build 2023.1.0.196). You can download it here: https://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Observability/RTM/Solarwinds.Installer.exe
Error you mentioned can occur when older version of online installer is used as it is not compatible with change done in 2023.1 (MSI split into multiple cab files).
