Hi All,
I was hoping if those who have upgraded to 2023.1 could share their experiences with the latest version? With 2020.2.6 going end of engineering support and being vulnerable to a number CVEs I was thinking now may be a good time to plan an upgrade.
Thanks in advance!
I just ran that upgrade, also switched from legacy licensing to HCO. Licensing was the kicker, otherwise the upgrade went fairly smoothly. I have multiple polling engines and web servers. Otherwise, take a look at some of the other thwack postings. Based on general responses in thwack - the 2023.1 has been better overall than any of the 2022.4 upgrades from 2020.2.6. I had one permissions error during the initial poller upgrade - it did require a reboot to reset the \\program files\solarwinds\blahblahblah folder access. The installer was able to uninstall from it, but then could not recheck it until a reboot. I was concerned about the installer not picking back up where it stopped. But it did post reboot, and the install completed, and config wizard ran successfully. Overall the config wizard seems to run faster, but it still had a couple of pauses, then leaps of percentages. I used the online installer fyi. I was prepared to use the offline installer to save time and even considered prestaging, but it still went quickly.
