This is on the following but not tested on other devices I am on 2022.4 currently.
Aruba JL635A 8325 GL.10.10.1000
Aruba JL635A 8400 GL.10.10.1000
I recently noticed that when a power supply went into fault state Solarwinds did not alert me, got some time to look into it and backfilled this by setting up alerts from traps.
Basically if a PSU goes faulty it just disappears, no fault state, not error, no alert just vanishes and the view only shows status of the other power supply as OK
This device has 2 Power Supplies one is currently in a fault state

I then created a custom poller based on the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.47196.4.1.1.3.11.2.1.1.4 which shows ARUBAWIREDPSUSTATE I do see the error value against the secondary power supply.

Here is my ask:-
So what I want to do now is alert on that state from my custom poller and I cannot seem to work it out.
The logic I want is from my custom poller if the ARUBAWIREDPSUSTATE = fault_input I want to create a polled alert rather than relying on the traps I set up, help appreciated on this bit as it’s the only part I cannot work out.
I will then create custom pollers for fans and the same alerting.
Why Solarwinds is not reporting this is quite concerning, its the same for FAN status even though it is reading the FAN RPM, even setting an alert when RPM drops to zero does not work as if it errors again it just disappears. Worries me what else I am missing if my monitoring tool is doing this.
