Adding an APE and AWS with Citrix NetScaler LB

I'm in need of best practices to acquire and install an APE and AWS to support additional loading. Currently we have a 2022.4.1 MPE and APE supporting NPM, NTA, and ETS; and need to understand the best way to deploy the APE and AWS applications:

1. Can the new APE and AWS be on the same VM?

2. Do we need to install NPM, NTA, and ETS on the new server as well?

3. Are additional NPM, NTA, and ETS licenses required on the new server?

4. Any suggestions on using Citrix NetScaler for Load Balancing?

1. I do not think so but check with support.

2. The additional polling engine installer handles what modules are used, just run that install.

3. If you license an additional polling engine, then you just need to make sure your module licensing isn't over, whether that is node or element, etc.

4. I have put additional web servers behind NetScalers, and it works. You will want to configure the sessions to 'stick' to the server they start with since the cookies are specific to each server, not to the application overall. Your users will get logged out and things won't seem right.
