NCM script conditions

Along with greetings, I am writing to ask for your help in request your help in an escalation of the Solarwinds NCM of the Solarwinds NCM platform.
We need to know if it is possible to run scripts in the web platform in order to send a command to the Huawei switches. However, this command has to be conditional ('If according to certain parameters that must be fulfilled on the
interfaces of the equipment. For example, only the add or remove the "authentication-profile 802.1x" command should only be added or removed on the interfaces that are in Access or Hybrid mode, and not on Trunk interfaces. Although we cannot use a template because the access or trunk gateways of the switches are not all the same, as they can vary depending on the equipment.

Hi .. you can certainly run scripts via the NCM Jobs menu entry.

Create a new job and on the first screen change the 'job type' to:

You should also look into Compliance Rules and remediation. It can be much more powerful than running scripts and can help with automation like that.

You should be able to do this with Config Change Templates. I do this with Cisco switches, but I look for an interface description to determine if I take action or not. There is an example CCT with the "interface" tag that you can look at as an example. I didn't use this one specifically, I made my own where I hardcoded into the CCT what I was looking for, rather than have the CCT prompt for variables.

It seems NCM has its own scripting language (if it is actually something specific, sorry I'm not aware). You'll need some basic programming knowledge to figure it out. Took some trial and error on my part.
