Orion Platform 2023.1 offline installer only installed NPM!!

Have been trying to complete the installation of six Orion Platform 2023.1 modules, but I am seeing a couple of things I have never seen before. The process completes without errors, but I observed the following during and after the installation:

1. The Configuration Wizard started by indicating that the Database and Website steps would be completed, but did not even show that Services would be involved. In fact, the expected page where all of the Services are listed with check boxes did not appear.

2. I can log into the Website and everything looks and acts normal, except that the only dashboards that show are the Home and Network.

3. The License Manager page shows only NPM to be activated.

I do have a support case opened three days ago with no further contact from SolarWinds. Are the other application bits actually thr? Why am I not able to see any other dashboards or license the additional modules? Seriously considering whether I should have just installed 2022.4.1

Anyone else having similar issues with 2023.1?

Can you share the case number? From what I am reading this is the correct behavior. What licenses did you have available prior to the upgrade? What other menu bars are you expecting to see when NPM is the only active license?

The case number was 01286279. As it turns out, Customer Service was able to activate the other product licenses after which all of the products showed up in the License Manager, and all of the dashboards and menus were also visible. Something did go wrong during the installation or this would not have been necessary. I was told that much.

We purchased licenses for NPM, NCM, NTA, IPAM, UDT and VNQM, but none of the dashboards/menus were visible until after the license keys were activated. This is most certainly not the behavior I have seen ever before.

What confuses me is that if the Config Wizard completed without any errors indicating this would be the case. It will be interesting to see if this particular issue happens to others.

Interesting, you did mention it was an offline installer. One question though - Your SolarWinds servers do they have access to the internet ? Or is it in a contained area ?

No internet access. Could it be that certain URLs that SolarWinds needs to access were not accessible during the install, and THAT caused the original issue? If to true, I would still think that would have caused the config wizard to raise errors.

I seen the same issues along with other issues like NTA not working. Called support and they could not help.

Sorry to hear that, what is your case number? Does your license manager show the licenses you would expect to see?

yes, We confirmed with support that if was not a license issue.

Do you happen to know the filename of the installer/iso you used? If this was a net-new installation and not an upgrade and you installed using something like Solarwinds-NPM-2023.1.0-OfflineInstaller.iso only an NPM license would be activated after installation.

We upgraded to 2023.1 a few weeks ago and had to do an offline install as well. Nothing but a cluster. We ran into the same issues you mention here and more!!
