Adding nodes in Solarwinds and licnese comsumption

i have npm250, SAM AL50,virtualization manger up to 32 socket,and other  modules installed in a single server ,

i have added my network devices manually by going to manage nodes and add node, some via network discovery , 

i am little confused here , how do i add my hosts and vm, i have 8 host machines which is hyper v and vm in that. do i need to add it in the vman or do i need to add each host and vm in manage nodes then add nodes ,

how the licenses are going to calculate 

can somebody advise best way to add hosts and vms

I would discover your Hyper-v hosts with an admin account, it will see that Hyper-v is enabled, and should automatically add it to the parts of VMan that you want. It will see the VM's on the hosts and when you add them as servers, it will tie it all together (I think it correlates on the IP). The simplest way to see what the count for licensing is is to add it and trim back if you need to in my experience. For instance, my VMware admins added hosts without telling me a few years ago, and I went to the VMware polling config and turned off polling for the hosts that were about to be turned off but weren't yet. When you run out of licenses its the 'new' stuff that won't poll, nothing breaks in my experience.
