Win11Pro identifies as Win2019Svr

Here it is a year later, and the challenge still exists.

I now have multiple desktop nodes which were wiped and Windows 11 Pro installed on each. After the setup is completed the SW Poll Agent is installed and the nodes are rebooted.

In our Orion Platform, I am able to see the devices in my Network Map. When I hover over the node icon, the Machine Type description is Windows 2019 Server.

Our Orion Platform has been upgraded with all the available patches, hot fixes, and service packs which are available from SW.

Just curious. We are planning a complete rollout in January and I want to be sure that the information is correct.

Hmm, this report might not work as I believe that the assetinventory entities have the information, which I think are from SAM, not NPM. But here it is:

Hmm looks like orion.nodes entity has some of this. Look at the IOSVersion field, then do a similar Case function from the example above.

SELECT TOP 1000 NodeID, Caption, NodeDescription, Description, Vendor, IOSVersion, MachineType FROM Orion.Nodes Where machinetype = 'windows 2019 server'
