Interface errors and discards alert?

Hi

I would like to set up email alerts for when our Cisco switches are showing interface errors and discards. I understand form other posts I have seen that these can be set up using the Recv errors, Recv Discards, Xmit errors and Xmit discards variables.

However, these variables do not appear in my Trigger Condition tab so I am wondering if we are using an out of date software version? The only menus that appear are Node Details, Node Status, Current Response Time, Current CPU and Memory, Cisco Buffers, Polling Details, SNMP v3 and Custom Properties [the recv and xmit errors and discards do not appear in any of these menus]

We use Orion version 2012.1.11 and Alert Manager version 2012.1.0

Hi,

Discards and errors are interfaces properties, so you should select "interfaces" in the property to monitor drop down.
