Running a SQL command when an alert is created?

Hello, 

I have a request from one of our DBA's to run a SQL command when high CPU utilization is detected on a specific server. No problem with the alert creation but creating the step "Executing an External Program" with the SQL command has me a bit stumped. We are using APMServiceControl to restart services but this is a different animal.

Any help world be appreciated.

You could get SolarWinds to run a script on the SQL server no? You could do this using the sqlcmd utility
