Atlas Maps

I'm working on existing maps in atlas that was created before I started working. The map has all the sites displayed based on groups that were created with NPM. Within those displayed sites the nodes are listed. All the sites displayed are connected with a active network link that displays the rx and tx info that's connected to one of the nodes within the site.

I have one site that doesn't have a network link to the provider. If I go to the site map that list the nodes, the connection is there. I can't figure out how to extend that from the site listed on the map to the provider like all the other sites display on the map.

From the Home Menu / Lines you need to select the line too of choice:

and set your preferred width, type, etc

Then simply click on the unlinked icon and then click on the cloud and you'll see the link appear.

Next, still on the home tab click back on the arrow otherwise you'll just keep trying to add more lines. Once you have the arrow back right-click the new link, select properties and drag/drop the relevant nodes or interfaces into the right hand box under the status menu.

thank you!! i figured it was something simple. also would you happen to know how to get the links to touch the icons. it seems like there's another border preventing it from doing that.

well i see the building icon has a square border around it, i guess that's why. perhaps a different icon

Network Atlas is one of those products that is great at what it does but only so far. Little issues like liens touching borders, etc is just one.

A kludge to "sort" that would be to add an object ([right click - add object] say a circle) and join your links to that, then after you've finished, add your building icon over the top which then hides the first object. But this makes managing the map harder and I wouldn't bother.

You could try changing the "Object style" - the default is "Tri-Color" [sic] but we have found that doesn't always allow all object to have their status seen. In our day to day experience we change them to "Rounded Square". That doesn't fix your lines not joining issue though. Sadly you can't change the default, but you can mass change them via the Edit tab.
