How to add hardware health sensor option to a node or server
How are you monitoring the node?Presumably via SNMP or agent, and in which case if they have health sensors that are identifiable by SolarWInds you just need to go into List Resources and enable the health sensor there...If not natively recognised, then you will need to identify the health sensor/s OID/s and build UnDPs (and alerts if you also want to alert) to monitor them.
polling through agent, but the below option is not existing in node list resource. node resource starts from ""Routing""
Then this:
If not natively recognised, then you will need to identify the health sensor/s OID/s and build UnDPs (and alerts if you also want to alert) to monitor them.
applies.
Hi @gohar,
Hardware health statistics are polled via SNMP, from an MIB tree on your devices. However, the devices supported by Hardware Health monitoring are Aruba, Cisco, Dell, F5, HP, Juniper and Arista 7500E chassis.
If your device does not belong to any of those vendors and you need to monitor some specific metric you could create a UnDP with the corresponding OID.
There are also hardware sensors in settings - NODE & GROUP MANAGEMENT - Manage Hardware Sensors
